Trace estimates the seed oil content of a meal from a photograph. Estimates are approximations derived from published oil absorption rates and what can be seen in the image. They are shown as ranges because they are uncertain, and they may be wrong — particularly about which oil a kitchen actually used, which is not visible in a photograph.
Trace is a tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything, and nothing in it is a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional. No health authority sets a limit on seed oil intake, and some omega-6 fat is essential in the diet. Do not use Trace to make medical decisions, and speak to a doctor before making significant dietary changes — especially if you have a health condition or are pregnant.
You need an Apple account to sign in. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from Settings, and doing so removes your data permanently.
Trace Pro is $49 per year, charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. There is no free trial. The subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Prices may differ by region and may change, but never within a period you have already paid for — we will tell you before a renewal at a new price. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy.
Don't attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, don't use it to process images you have no right to, and don't resell access to it.
We aim to keep Trace working but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The app depends on third-party services that can fail, and features may change or be withdrawn.
Trace is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Atllas is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, or from reliance on an estimate it produced. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Trace after that means you accept them.
